A brief, very introductory study of the Bauhaus philosophy, particularly regarding form following function, was initially a limiting concept to me. When applied to clothing, it became a great framework to contain deep exploration.
Inspired by the study, we look at each element of the basic wardrobe and ensure that every decision supports the function of the garment, admitting that the function of clothing is arguably diverse. Rather than reinvent the wheel, we reinterpret the wheel, using materials as the language. While in the future we may change or add additional silhouettes, the core identity of STONE is found within the familiar shapes of the tee shirt, polo, button-front shirt, jacket, and trouser.
